Managing System Changes - Round Table Discussion for CEOs
Expression of Interest (EOI) Application
DATE: Wednesday 13 April 2022
TIME: 9.00am - 12.30pm (includes lunch)
VENUE: Your Side office, Chatswood
The Aged Care reforms are well under way, are you ready to manage these significant changes? Come and join us for a lively Round Table discussion for CEOs of aged care services.
While the details are yet to be confirmed, we know that the Aged Care reforms will lead to significant changes in the way Aged Care is assessed, funded and regulated. These are similar to the transformational shift in policy and service delivery that the disability sector went through into the lead up into the NDIS. Each Aged Care organisation will need to transition to a completely different model, and initiate changes in the way it operates.
Learning from the experience of former CEO of disability organisation, breakthru, who navigated the changes of the NDIS, this interactive session will explore the following areas:
- The breakthru history and experience
- Company culture and change
- Better participant/customer outcomes
- The workforce, awards and Unions
- The NDIS and changing goalposts
- Financial results
- Managing the Board
This facilitated Round Table discussion will aim to:
- enhance the participants’ capacity to manage system changes as a result of the Aged Care reforms
- support participants to identify concrete strategies that they could apply to their own organisation
- provide a platform for participants to connect and share insights about the transition to the new aged care model
Facilitator: Paul Stiff
After a long career in consulting and then in risk management in financial services, Paul was CEO of breakthru Ltd, a national disability services company, in the time that it transitioned from a grant-based model to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and a revised Disability Employment Services (DES) model, both NDIS and DES are based on the principles that payment is for services delivered and outcomes achieved.
Following transition and full implementation of the model at breakthru Ltd, Paul established a consulting company specialising in Strategy, Risk & Governance and Transformation. Most clients are within the disability sector. He is currently Interim EGM Disability for a large disability service provider who is active in Supported Independent Living with services transferred from Government.
This Face-to-Face Round Table discussion is limited to twelve (12) CEOs. Please note that this event has been designed for CEOs (or similar executives) only.
Important note: in line with the Public Health Order about COVID-19, check-in with Service NSW will be required as a condition of entry. Face masks are recommended.
Deadline for registration is Monday 4 April 2022. Priority will be given to CEOs from the Northern Sydney region. The successful CEOs will be notified later that week and payment will be requested.
Cost:$30 per participant. Light lunch will be provided.
