Fred Smith
Songwriter and storyteller Fred Smith was the first Australian diplomat to be sent to work alongside Australian troops in Uruzgan province in 2009 and the last to leave in 2013.

Fred weaves his stories, songs and humour against the backdrop of evocative visual imagery from Afghanistan, transporting you to Uruzgan province and offering some understanding of what it was like for the 25,000 young Australians who served there.
