Visit to Government House and La Trobe Cottage

After many delays we are excited to invite you to join us on this small group tour to Government House and La Trobe’s Cottage and garden.
Meet at Government House where we will tour the State Apartments and the Peace and Prosperity Gardens.
We will then walk 700 metres to La Trobe’s cottage for a BYO lunch followed by a special extensive tour of the garden and interiors by guide, Helen Botham, who gave us a wonderful background lecture in October 2020.
GETTING THERE: Public transport highly recommended.
MEET: 9.45 am for 10 am sharp start at front gates of Government House located in Government House Drive, Melbourne.
A security screening with photo ID/covid check is required. Large bags/packs will be stored. Late arrivals may not be admitted.
BYO: Photo ID, lunch, water, mask, sanitiser, walking shoes.
NOTE: THERE IS CONSIDERABLE WALKING INCLUDING A 700 METRE WALK SO MEMBERS MUST BE CAPABLE AND PREPARED FOR THIS.
