ACA WA invites all members to attend a very special presentation by Scott Patterson, Director at Ochre Project Services.Scott’s heritage is Yawuru (Broome) and Nyinkina (East Derby) and in an online presentation, he will provide an insight into First Nations history in WA since British colonisation. Scott’s presentation will be deeply personal, drawing on family stories to describe Western impact on Aboriginal culture over the last 200 years.
The ACA is proud to be presenting this topic as part of our ongoing commitment towards a reconciled Australia. We’re doing this because we want to:
• Better understand the complexities of First Nations history
• Create workplaces where First Nations people feel welcome and valued
• Include First Nations voices in our projects in a meaningful way
• And finally, we want to take our members along with us on this journey.
