The inaugural WEST TORRENS CHESS CLASSIC is a RAPID Chess tournament proudly presented by the City of West Torrens and the West Torrens Chess Club in conjunction with the South Australia Chess Association. This exciting one-day ACF-rated Swiss and playoff event is open to all South Australian chess players only. Time controls will be set at 15/10 for the Open event and 15/10 for the Junior event. There will be both an open and junior section with a combined prize pool of over $2,500. Held at the stunning West Torrens Auditorium, this event will feature the open playoff finals being played in front of a live audience to determine the overall champion! This event will also be catered for with an open kitchen stocked with food and drinks. Tickets are now available for the OPEN section: $60.00 for adults, $40.00 for concession and Junior (U/18). Cash paid tickets for the OPEN section can be purchased from SACA directly or alternatively, OPEN section cash tickets will be available to purchase on the day for $70.00. All tickets for the JUNIOR section are available for $35.00 online. Cash tickets for the JUNIOR section will also be available on the day for $50.00.Location
