In this workshop participants will experiment with hand building techniques to create a small sculptural or functional ceramic form. Dell Stewart will share hand-building techniques to help you design, sculpt and decorate with clay. Participants will gain hands on experience in forming shapes using pinching and coiling and surface mark making. Clay is an excellent tool for observation of nature. Participants will discuss the various vessels, sculptural elements and flowers and plants in the exhibition, with the aim to encourage sculptural experimentation. Works will be fired and glazed and available for pick up in January. Cost covers materials and firing.Please note that a minimum of five people are required to run the workshops. The artist reserves the right to cancel a class if the minimum number of bookings is not reached. You will be notified at least three days prior to the class if cancellation is deemed necessary.
