Rotary - Canberra Sundowners Birthing Kits Packing 2023

Join our celebration of Rotary’s Maternal and Child Health month to purchase and pack 2,000 birthing kits for use by pregnant women in rural communities and low-resource settings around the world.
Each kit contains key items to assist a birth in a remote area without access to hospitals. The birthing kits are shipped by the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia to regions in need of this type of support and have been proven to save the lives of both mothers and new-borns.
We are running four packing shifts over the weekend of 29/30 April, with a morning and afternoon shift of about 3 hours each on both days. We have capacity for about 30 people per shift.
