This event is part of a nationwide commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe).The presenter is Dr Adel Yousif, UTAS Lecturer. He will be supported on a panel by Senator Anne Urquhart, Government Senator for Tasmania, and an unnamed human rights observer recently returned from the West Bank. Food with a Middle Eastern flavour will be provided, with a view to building a social atmosphere after the talk and forum.

Friends of Palestine seeks to educate the broader public about:
- Palestinian identity, heritage and culture;
- Palestinian narratives, voice and suffering;
- The urgent need for our country to support Palestinian self-determination
