In childbirth education, the aim is to prepare and educate expecting parents for the event of labour and birth and give a rundown of what can be expected in labour, birth and the early postpartum. It is also a safe space to ask questions and dispel fears around labour, birth and postpartum through providing information and reassurance.  

In this session we will discuss what is labour, hormones of labour, stages of labour, building your labour toolkit, unexpected outcomes, pain management options, go on a ward tour, the immediate postpartum, early days of parenting, discuss supports and resources, and complete a couple of activities. 

Please only book 1 ticket, this ticket will cover you and your support person. Any extra tickets purchased will be voided.
