THIS CONCERT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK. PLEASE JOIN OUR MAILING LIST TO BE UPDATED ON THE AUSTRALIAN ROMANTIC & CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA'S FUTURE PERFORMANCES IN ORANGE.
The second half of the 18th century was a time of extraordinary revolution in music, driven by many huge leaps in virtuosity made by musicians of the Mannheim court. Many techniques developed at Mannheim can be heard in Haydn's much-loved ‘Drum Roll’ Symphony, and Mozart's 'Haffner' Symphony and Horn Concertos were hugely influenced by the abilities of the musicians there. We are fortunate to hear one of the world's finest horn players, Anneke Scott, performing Horn Concerto No.3 for us. READ MORE
