Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra present their 2021 season, designed to ILLUMINATE the past, EVOKE the present, and EMERGE into the future. We are delighted to feature acclaimed Australian soprano Jacqueline Porter performing Benjamin Britten’s Les Illuminations and British/Australian natural horn virtuoso Anneke Scott to perform Mozart’s third Horn Concerto, and programs featuring works by Beethoven, Haydn and Tchaikovsky, as well as lesser-knowns like Berwald and Cannabich. Tuesday 16th February 2021 (This program has concluded)
In describing his own Les Illuminations, Benjamin Britten wrote, “The word ‘Illuminations’ suggests both the vision of a mystic and a brightly coloured picture.” It is this sense of a technicolour canvas that the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra invokes in ILLUMINATE, featuring works by Bruch, Britten and Tchaikovsky. Directed by Rachael Beesley and featuring soprano Jacqueline Porter, join us on a European musical journey from the comfort of the concert hall.

EMERGE | Haydn, Mozart & Mannheim
Friday 6th August 2021, 6:30pm

We are fortunate to hear one of the world's finest horn players, Anneke Scott, performing Horn Concerto No.3 for us.
