Domestic and Family Violence Training
A one day training session where participants will learn about what intimate partner, domestic and family violence is, including how to recognise it, how to respond to disclosure and provide support to someone who is experiencing intimate partner, domestic or family violence. Additionally, participants will gain an understanding of the ACT legal responses and the different service offerings of DVCS.
Date: Thursday 24 March 2022
Time: 9.30am to 4.30pm
Venue: East Hotel, 69 Canberra Avenue, Kingston
Parking: Parking is free to participants in the East Hotel car park, entry via Oxley Street. At the conclusion of the day all participants will be given a fresh ticket to let them out of the car park.
Catering: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon is supplied
Facilitators: Both facilitators are experienced at delivery education and trianing and are Team Leaders at DVCS, and able to provide knowledge and expertise from their time working at DVCS
Cost:
$210 per person (including GST, plus booking fee) for community members, including those working within the community sector
$230 per person (including GST, plus booking fee) for all others
Cancellation Policy: We appreciate sometimes people who register to attend our training are not able to attend. While we appreciate things happen, we do not run this training with a large profit margin and there is an extensive waiting list so are unable to accept late cancellations and therefore have established this cancellation policy.
With 45 days plus notice - Full refund (less booking fees and credit card fees, if applicable) or a transfer to another training session
With 30 days notice - 50% refund or transfer to another training session
With 14 days and under notice - No refund and no transfer to another training session
