The Paul McDermott scholarship is held annually for violinists under 15 on 1st July. There is a prize of $1500 for the winner plus a performance opportunity at an AUSTA event.
APPLICANTS are required to play:
- One movement of any unaccompanied Bach Violin Sonata or Partita
- 1st movement of a Mozart or Haydn Concerto with cadenza
- A work of own choice (not a Concerto movement)
The applicants must provide their own accompanist.
As part of the prize the winner will be expected to perform part of their program at an AUSTA function when possible
