Mark Brandi graduated with a criminal justice degree and worked extensively in the justice system, before changing direction and deciding to write. He has written three best-selling novels: Wimmera, which won the Debut Dagger (UK), the Indie Book Award for Debut Fiction, and was shortlisted for numerous prizes; The Rip, which was longlisted for Best Fiction at the Indie Book Awards and the Crime Writer's Association Best Fiction award; and The Others, to be released in July 2021.
Katherine Kovacic is the author of five books. Her true crime novel, The Schoolgirl Strangler, was released in January 2021 and explores the murder of a young girl in the 1930s and the years of bungled investigations, the falsely accused men and the tragic deaths of two more girls, before the murderer was finally caught and brought to justice. Her new crime novel, Just Murdered: Ms Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries, will be released in August 2021 and is based on the niece of Kerry Greenwood's famous Phryne Fisher, as seen on 7plus.
