Schubert and Schiller
Recital for Art Song Canberra by Koen van Stade (tenor) and Neal Peres da Costa (fortepiano).
Schubert’s music performed as it may have sounded soon after its conception. World-renowned performing scholar and educator Neal Peres Da Costa will perform on an historic fortepiano and both musicians integrate their latest research findings into this performance. The outcome is a reimagined performance, displaying elements of a 19th-century sound-world markedly different from current practices.
