Caring for carers
AboutTaking time out for me.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a source of adversity and stress for many people - with carers put under even greater strain.
A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to family members and/or friends with a disability, mental illness, chronic health issue or an older person with care needs. Throughout the pandemic you may have found yourself acting as a carer for the first time, or perhaps your existing responsibilities intensified with the new challenges posed by the pandemic.
The City of Stonnington wants to support our carers and invite you to a free online session by Tania Daniels, Carer and Community Educator at Carers Victoria. In this interactive session, Tania will discuss how to overcome barriers to self-care and provide space for participants to explore their experiences and learnings from the pandemic.
