Voluntary movement recovery post stroke & spinal cord injury
There is currently no pill or medical intervention that can help in the natural recovery of movement following a neurological injury. In this lecture Professor Dylan Edwards will discuss research into rehabilitation for patients suffering a loss of movement following neurological damage from stroke and spinal cord injury.
The lecture will discuss how our bodies recover from neurological damage and how modern technology can be implemented to improve that process - and make therapy accessible to those in need.
Dylan Edwards is a Professor of Neuroscience, and the Director of NeuroRehabilitation and Robotics Laboratory, here at ECU.
