After their SOLD OUT 'Flute Fancies' performance last year, the HIGHLANDS MUSIC COLLECTIVE return for their first Chamber Concert for 2022 with a splendid program for soprano and string quartet.
Featuring highly-respected local musicians:Alison Claire Robertson - soprano

With program highlights including baroque arias by Handel, the virtuosic Passacaglia for strings by Halvorsen, the exquisite 6 Gesange Op. 107 by Schumann, Strauss' tender Morgen and Mozart's Aria
Conservati fedele, written when the prodigy was just nine years old!
The ensemble's Artistic Director, Myee Clohessy, introduces a new initiative with her Follow The Score concerts for curious minds. Each concert series will focus on the score of one composition, showing audiences how music has been notated through the ages. This will give listeners an opportunity to discover how the dots and squiggles on the page become the beautiful sounds you hear in the air.
The chosen score to be handed out at this concert will be Mozart's Conservati fedele, showing a window into how the young genius' remarkable mind worked.
