After their SOLD OUT 'Flute Fancies' performance last year, the HIGHLANDS MUSIC COLLECTIVE return for their first Chamber Concert for 2022 with a splendid program for soprano and string quartet.

Set at the beautiful village hall in Burrawang, this family-friendly concert will be a wonderful way to spend the June long weekend in the picturesque Southern Highlands!

Featuring the highly-respected local musicians:
Alison Claire Robertson - soprano
Myee Clohessy and Alexandra Dening - violinsLaura McCrow - viola
Catherine Barnett - cello


Program highlights will include passionate baroque arias by Handel,  the virtuosic Passacaglia for strings by Halvorsen, the exquisite 6 Gesange Op. 107 by  Schumann, Strauss' tender Morgen and Mozart's Aria 
Conservati fedele, which was written when he was just nine years old!
The ensemble's Artistic Director, Myee Clohessy, will also introduce a curious initiative with her new Follow The Score concerts. Each concert series will focus on one composition score highlighting how music has been notated through the ages. This gives audiences an opportunity to discover how the dots and squiggles on the page become the sounds you will hear in the air. 
The chosen score to be handed out at this concert will be Mozart's Conservati fedele, giving audiences a clearer window into how the young prodigy's remarkable mind worked!
