SV Rhona H
Heritage Sailing Tasmania Ltd
Sail Hobart's oldest working sailing vessel
during the AWBF
Built in 1942 and listed on the Australian Register of Heritage Vessels. The Rhona H is one of Tasmania's original vessels, built by Ned Jack in his Trevallyn shipyard. The AWBF marks the end of our 80th Anniversay celebrations.
The AWBF trips are a taste of sailing during the festival; take the helm and enjoy the Atmosphere!
There will be a selection to choose from and sessions will be added as the program evolves. Options will include the Short Sails, Ketch Review, Fireworks Sail and the final Admirals Sail Past.
Every guest will receive a complimentary Souvenir Pack as they finish their sail.
Please note: we will be in a different berth for the AWBF and you will need to climb onboard via the ships ladder. Crew will be there to assist but the gangplank won't be in use.
Short Sails:
A 90 minute sail and we will endeavour to sail in company with other tall ships if they are out at the same time for great photo opportunities.
Juice and a light snack included.
Fireworks Sail
We will depart the dock and head out for a sail before positioning ourselves at a great vantage point for the fireworks.
Refreshments included and a complimentary beverage.
Ketch Review
A special sail sailing in company with the other trading ketches and those ketches that have a place in Tasmania's heritage. This year it is about sailing in company and showcasing the ketches as they used to sail together.
Admirals Sail Past
The final sail of the AWBF and a chance to salute the organisers of the festival and celebrate the weekend.
