Ocean Heroes & Connected By Movie Night

Friends, Family and Supporters of Ocean Heroes and Connected By
You will have noticed that over the last 12 months the team at Ocean Heroes have been able to take their surf experiences to all corners of WA from Albany, Denmark and Esperance in the south, Geraldton in the Midwest, Broome in the far north also reaching Sydney in the eastern states.
Ocean Heroes continues to go from strength to strength and a big part of being able to take their show on the road was a custom-built surfboard trailer delivered in early 2022.
You were a big part of this helping to raise over $17K at last year's Ocean Heroes Movie night funds of which went towards purchasing their new trailer.
We are looking to build on the success of this in 2022 with the support of the Macquarie Foundation hosting another movie night on Tuesday 18th, October, at Luna Palace Leederville. Showcasing the action-packed dramatic movie titled Facing Monsters.
A surfing movie that digs deep into the psyche of enigmatic West Australia 'slab wave' surfer Kerby Brown, a man whose connection with the ocean runs as deep as his love for his family.
We’ve broadened our support network in 2022. All proceeds from the night will go towards assisting the work that Ocean Heroes and Connected By do in the community. Ocean Heroes aims to improve the well-being of those living with Autism and their families through surfing. Connected By provides a creative space for learning, sharing, and growing for current and ex-Australian Defence Force personnel, first responders and the general public.
