The Writing for Performance course is a 5-day intensive skills development and showcase program for emerging writers to create and develop a new work.

Day 2 - Tuesday 27 Sept - 10 to 4
Day 3 - Wednesday 28 Sept - 10 to 4
Day 4 - Thursday 29 Sept - 10 to 4
Day 5 - Friday 30 Sept - 10 to 4 - rehearsals and rehearsed readings (for family and friends)
Participants should be between 14-18 years old. Places limited to 15 students.

Kate McDowell holds NIDA Postgraduate Diploma in Writing for Performance. Kate is Associate Artist at NORPA and chooses to live in the Northern Rivers to generate art out of her regional specificity. She was Assistant Director to Julian Louis for his site-based work Dreamland in 2016 and is currently working as contributing writer on Julian's new work for 2018, Wildskin.
Noa Rotem is a director, performer, choreographer and teacher. As of 2018, Noa is based in the Northern Rivers area of NSW. She has worked and trained extensively in Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, France, the Philippines and New York City both as a freelance artist and with companies such as Little Dove Theatre Art , The Human Theatre, The Danger Ensemble, and Anne Bogart’s SITI Company (NYC). She is co-founder of MaKom Collective (based in The Northern Rivers of NSW) and a graduate of the Soma School of Body-Mind Centering ® (Paris), the University of Sydney and of the Actor’s College.
