ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT LEVEL 2 RECERTIFICATION and CRITICAL CARE ADVANCED SKILLS - 2 Day Course
[ALS recertification + Critical Care Advanced Skills 2 Day Course ]
You are expected to be up to date with advanced life support knowledge and will have to demonstrate current ALS2 certifications obtained within the last 4 years.
On the first day you will refresh knowledge and skills required to provide advanced life support through lectures, tutorial and cardiac arrest simulations.
By the end of the first day you will be confident treating critically ill patients with a wide range of pathology.
On day two we will cover other aspects of critical care including intubation, non-invasive and invasive ventilation, management of pneumothorax, and management of sepsis - through a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops and simulation.
At the completion of the two days:
ALS2 Recertification valid for 4 years
Additional 10 hrs CPD additional critical care teaching
Completion of 16 procedural skills (Fulfilling ACEM scope of practice requirement)
