‘Cyber Security and Digital Forensics' for high school-aged students with some knowledge of CTF's and Digital Forensics.
ECU's School of Science is proud to offer this workshop for High School aged students interested in learning more about computing and security. Suitable for students with some knowledge of CTF’s. Learn about file format analysis, steganography, and memory dump analysis. Explore plain text strings, binary, file formats, file signatures, metadata, bits and bytes. Use simple open-source tools to manipulate data, recognise protocols and uncover what lies beneath.

9:00 - 10:00 - Workshop One – File formats
10:00 - Morning tea - please BYO
10:30 - 11:30 - Workshop Two – Memory dump analysis
11:30 - 12:30 - Workshop Three – Digital Forensics tools
12:30 - 1:00 - BYO Lunch - sit under the trees and enjoy the surroundings - we do ask that 'no feeding the ducks'!
1:00 - 2:00 - Workshop Four – PECAN+CTF challenges
2:00 - 3:00 - Workshop Five – CTF Challenges
