HOW TO PASS THE TEST - Before the course, take the Online Practice Quiz www.getaboatlicence.com.au/course-test. This will help you pass. As you progress through the 'pool' of multiple-choice questions for BOTH General Boat & PWC Licence, you'll be shown whether you've answered correctly or incorrectly. If you are wrong, you're shown the right answer with a green tick. That's the answer you need to remember. Take the Online Practice Quiz several times, don't worry and get started today !
CHANGE or CANCEL your booking contact 0405 677 534, provide the full name, and date of course. Bookings and payments can be transferred OR refunded. However: Within 24 hours of the COURSE -- No refunds, payments will be will transferred to a new course date, subject to availability.
PAYMENT - Those booked who have NOT paid in full, you can pay cash at the door, there's an ATM in the Club for cash withdrawals
WHAT TO BRING
PWC Jetski Applicants only - 2 x identical passport-quality sized photos (NOT required for boat licence only). You can buy them at the post office, chemist and most Officeworks. We will attach them to your PWC application form so that you can lodge and receive (1) an interim paper licence over the RMS Service Centre counter (2) for RMS to create your card and mailed to you direct.
IDENTIFICATION
If you hold a current NSW Drivers Licence, NSW Learners or NSW Photo Card, this is sufficient identification. Please bring it on the day.
For YOUNG ADULTS or Interstate Drivers Licence holders, those with a disqualified licence, overseas travellers, students and others are required to bring two (2) items of identification
1 x Primary ID: Birth Certificate - or Passport - or Interstate Drivers’ Licence, plus
1 x Secondary ID: Medicare - or Student ID - or Bankcard - or Firearm Licence - or WHS White Card.
Upon entry young adults 12 to under 16-years. The parent/guardian must provide their identification and sign the Roads and Maritime Services application before the course commences.
ARRIVAL TIME - Be early to complete ID check, make payment, complete documents, and practice the test again. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the course start. Provide the venue name and address to your family and friends. Please arrange to have eaten, be well rested and allow plenty of time to arrive safely and on time. No hats or singlets are allowed within the Club. If you are lost or late call the trainer direct on 0405 677 534.
AFTER THE COURSE - Lodge your Application at the RMS Service Centre
Now you've completed the course, take your completed application forms; plus, your supplied Practical Boating Logbook, completed by a person who has a valid Boat or PWC Jetski Licence of more than 3 YEARS, and saying you've had 3 experiences (3 dates) on a vessel within the last 12 months) to any RMS Service Centre in NSW. Show your identification, and pay for a 1, 3, 5 or 10-year fee. An interim licence is issued over the counter, the card is mailed direct to you.
