By registering you have agreed to all competition rules and accept all responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or death while participating in the CQ Boar Hunt 2024.
FAILURE TO ABIDE BY ALL RULES AND COMPLETE ALL FORMS TRUTHFULLY WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION AND TERMINATION OF YOUR ENTRY. ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE PUT IN PLACE TO BE FOLLOWED FOR OURS AND YOUR OWN SAFETY.
Competition Rules
1. Competitors must have their own properties to hunt. Not properties will be given out as part of the competition
2. Hunting can be done anywhere the competitor has written or verbal consent from property owner
3. CQ Boar Hunt / organisers have no tolerance for trespassing and poaching. Immediate disqualification will result for hunters who are caught, sighted by landowners or proven beyond a reasonable doubt, to have committed hunting offence.
4. Only hunters that have registered may enter
5. Do not parade your catch, proceed straight to weigh in
6. Pigs are not to be domestic or styed or trapped
7. Pigs must be killed humanely and quickly as possible
8. Pig standard for entry – must be harvested in harvested style ( gutted pig – throat clear, offal out, intestines removed )
9. Harvested animals must be hung by foot or pelvis when presented
10. No off, green/rotten animals to be presented – they will be refused -
11. No frozen pigs
12.There will be a neutral referee that will yellow card any animal that don’t meet the criteria
13.No conflict will be tolerated with officials/event organisers or volunteers
14.Any pig entered which aligns with the rules can only win one of the prizes (except for the Major Prize)
15.Size will be determined by kg
16.Tusks will be measured in millimeters
17.The entire pig must be brought to weigh in
18.Competitors do not need to be accredited to enter
19.ALL DOGS AT WEIGH IN MUST BE TIED UP OR IN CRATES AT ALL TIMES WITH WATER AND FOOD AVAILABLE.
20.Toggles will be emailed on Wednesday 24th July 12pm and hunting will commence. This toggle number provided must be photographed with the harvested animal to qualify for entry to ensure correct competition timeframes are adhered to
21.Weigh in will commence Thursday 25th July from 6pm - 6am daily and close Saturday 27th July at 12pm. Late entries will be refused.
22. IF ITS ILLEGAL BY LAW IT IS LIIEGAL BY US. Please use common sense before you act.
23. All firearms are to be kept as the firearm law states and are to never be taken out of your locked vehicle. Police will be present so follow the law.
24. No refund given on registration cost if rules are not adhered to.
