Examples of reasons to apply for dispensation:
• Children who have a disability
• Children who were born in November or December & just miss out on qualifying to play with their school mates.
• Applications for dispensation should be made in writing & emailed to soccer@slshepparton.catholic.edu.au
• Reasons for seeking dispensation must be fully detailed in application.
• Applications will remain confidential.
• Each application will be considered by the SJSA Executive Committee
• Dispensation will be revoked if it becomes apparent that the player is obviously not playing in the appropriate age group.
Fees cover requirements from SJSA and FFV for insurance and in order to assist with soccer infrastructure for all regions.
If you have any further queries, please review the website www.sjsa.com.au and if you have further queries, please direct them to the contact provided.
Coaches – If you would like to coach but are hesitant from doing so please do not hesitate to volunteer. Mini Roo’s are for children and parents to be engaged and have fun. SJSA has a Technical Director within their team (who facilitates the SAP program) and are willing to have parents/coaches learn from them and give them advice/direction.
St Luke’s Soccer Information:
• Soccer Duty Day (Compulsory) for SJSA will be announced soon. This will be a full day session and will be auto allocated as per previous seasons. It will be as fair as practicable and possible, if your child plays please expect that your time will be required. Apologies in advance if the allotted time is not close to your child’s game time. We cannot change this and we are unable to change time slots or length. SJSA have advised this is not negotiable.
• Coaches and/or Team Manager’s Compulsory Meeting will be held at at a location and time TBC. If we do not have all teams represented then please note that Awards will be withheld for up to 4 weeks.
• Please get your REGISTRATION FORMS IN EARLY – Closes Wednesday 20th March 2024.
Late registrations will only be considered if teams have minimal number of players as it is a difficult process to ensure teams have the right amount of players. Also, Team Submissions must be lodged to SJSA by 25th March 2024.
• Coaches/Team Managers all must have a current Working With Children check and provide a copy to us on confirmation of teams. If you do not have one go to https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/individuals/applicants/how-to-apply-1 its fairly straight forward and free for volunteers.
1. All Coaches and Team Managers will need to complete a Child Safety Induction with the School. This will be emailed out.
