Terms and Conditions for the "Lights, Camera, Inter Alia (Cairns JCU Law Society) Annual Ball"

1. Event Details

2. Ticket Purchase
a. This ticket is proof of purchase of the above event and must be presented at the time of admission, either in physical form or on a mobile device.
b. Ticket transfers are generally not permitted. The Inter Alia Management Committee may exercise discretion re a transfer request should the request be made in writing no less than 5 days prior to the event.
c. Duplicated or tampered tickets will not be honoured.
d. All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be provided outside of circumstances addressed at clause 8a.
e. Tickets associated with Inter Alia Membership currency will be monitored by the Inter Alia Treasurer. Any purchases that are incongruous with currency of Membership will result in contact to remedy the status (should the applicable yearly fee be due). Issues of membership currency must be resolved at least 5 days prior to the event for a ticket to remain valid, per the discretion of the Inter Alia Treasurer.
i. This ticket has been created and managed using the TryBooking site and is also subject to the Terms and Conditions of TryBooking. This ticket may be valid as a tax invoice or receipt in the case of registrations or other event payments.
j. As the Event Organiser hosting this event, Inter Alia is solely responsible for all issues relating to the sale of tickets. If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact interaliacairns@outlook.com
k. Tickets cannot be on-sold by any means at a price greater than the purchase price of the ticket. Scalped tickets may be cancelled, and the ticket holder denied entry.
l. Seating arrangements are to be elected by the purchaser at the time of purchase. Modification requests, which must be submitted in writing to interaliacairns@outlook.com as soon as is practicable, are not guaranteed to be approved.
m. Inter Alia Cairns JCU Law Society reserves the right to modify, add to or otherwise adjust seating allocations.
n. The application of discount codes is monitored by the Inter Alia 2024 Treasurer. Any fraudulent or unauthorised use of discount codes intended for specific individuals or classes of persons may result in either ticket cancellation or the requirement of further payment prior to the event for a ticket to be held as valid at the discretion of the Treasurer.

3. Eligibility
a. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older as at 17 August 2024.
b. Attendees may be required to show valid government-issued identification upon entry to verify age and identity.

4. Admission and Conduct
a. All attendees must comply with venue rules and regulations, including any dress code requirements. Confetti and similar items are strictly not permitted.
b. The host reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who is deemed to be acting inappropriately or in violation of these terms and conditions, and will not be eligible for a refund.
c. Attendees are responsible for familiarising themselves with the venue's emergency procedures and evacuation plan prior to entry.

5. Liability and Indemnity
a. Attendees are responsible for their own safety and the security of their belongings.
b. Inter Alia and any event sponsors are not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property incurred during the event.
c. By purchasing a ticket, attendees agree to indemnify and hold harmless Inter Alia and any event sponsors from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from their participation in the event.
d. Attendees are responsible for organizing their own transport to and from the event venue. Inter Alia and event sponsors are not liable for any issues or incidents arising from travel arrangements.

6. Dietary Requirements
a. Any dietary requirements must be provided in writing no less than 5 working days before the event. Amendments to dietary requirements entered at the point of purchase may be emailed to interaliacairns@outlook.com
b. Dietary dishes prepared may contain traces of allergens that could have implications for patrons with food-related allergies, health conditions, or intolerances. Inter Alia and the event sponsors cannot be held responsible for any harm suffered from the presence of these traces.

7. Photography and Media
a. By attending the event, attendees consent to being photographed and filmed. These images and videos may be used for promotional purposes by Inter Alia and its sponsors, as well as the event venue and its vendors.

8. Force Majeure
a. Inter Alia reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event in case of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or other events beyond the host's control.
b. In the event of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued to all ticket purchasers.
c. In the event of cancellation or rescheduling, ticket holders will be notified via the contact information provided by the purchaser at the time of purchase.

9. Data Protection
a. Personal information provided during the ticket purchase process will be used solely for event-related communications and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
