2025 Theology of the Body:
Writings of John Paul II
Immersion Course Terms and Conditions
With the support of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (Archdiocese), the Theology of the Body Institute (TOBI) will be coming to Australia to conduct the Theology of the Body: Writings of John Paul II on Gender, Marriage and Family Immersion Course (Course) in Sydney.
The Course details are as below:
Topic: Theology of the Body: Writings of John Paul II on Gender, Marriage and Family
Date: Sunday - Friday, 19-24 January 2025 (6 days/ 5 nights)
Time: Sunday, 3pm to Friday, 1pm
Venue: Benedict XVI Retreat Centre, Grose Vale
Course fee: $1900 (AUD) including all course materials, twin shared occupied room accommodation and meals.
The Course is for adults 18+ years (Participants).

In order to participate in the Course, each Participant must complete the online registration and agree to the Terms and Conditions as set out below.
Course Terms and Conditions
Registration and Cancellation
1. Registration for the Course is through the TryBooking ticketing platform at: www.trybooking.com/CJSZM
2. The total Course fee for each Participant is $1900.00(AUD).
3. The Course fee includes:
(a) All Course materials
(b) Twin shared accommodation
(c) Meals from Sunday, 19 January 2025 dinner to Friday, 24 January 2025 lunch. Special Dietary Requirements are not guaranteed.
4. There are 2 payment options for the Course fee:
(a) Pay in full.
(b) Pay in instalments.
• The ‘PayPal in 4’ option in Trybooking allows you to pay four instalment payments of the of your fee, with the first payment taken at your initial registration. The next three payments are each taken every two weeks over a 6-week period.
• All payments must be completed by 1 December 2024.
5. An additional $0.50 is payable per ticket and 2.5% per booking as part of the Trybooking ticketing platform fee policy. A 0.5% surcharge incurred when using PayPal. All prices are inclusive of GST.
6. Payment of the total Course fee is required by 1 December 2024. No refunds will be provided after this date.
7. If for any reason the Course cannot commence or continue as planned in any respect, the Archdiocese reserves the right to cancel the Course and / or amend the Course programs at its discretion. If the Archdiocese cancels the Course under this clause, I will be entitled to a refund of the total registration fee less the administration fee of $0.50 per ticket.
Filming and photographing
8. I am 18 years of age or above.
9. I may be filmed and/or photographed (Footage) when attending a Course.
10. I agree to and permit the Archdiocese and its nominees using the Footage and my name, image, likeness and voice in accordance with this consent.
11. I consent to the Archdiocese and its nominees, without limitation, using, reproducing, exhibiting, editing, adapting, compiling with other works or materials, transmitting, broadcasting, publishing and distributing the Footage in any media at its discretion, for educational, promotional, marketing and other purposes (including commercial purposes) associated with the Process, or the Archdiocese’s events, or consistent with the Archdiocese’s (and broader Catholic community’s) activities and objectives.
12. I acknowledge that the Archdiocese is not obliged to publish or otherwise use the Footage or any part of it.
13. I agree that any form of intellectual property rights in the Footage and all works derived or created under it are owned by the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Sydney on behalf of the Archdiocese, and any intellectual property rights that I may have in the Footage are fully assigned to the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Sydney on behalf of the Archdiocese.
14. To the full extent permitted by law, I consent to the doing of anything in relation to the Footage that (but for the consents provided in this Terms and Conditions document) would otherwise infringe any moral rights or similar non-assignable personal rights that I might otherwise have including but not limited to publishing the Footage without attribution and modifying/ adapting the Footage.
Privacy
15. I acknowledge that the Archdiocese and its nominees collect my personal information for purposes of organising the Course and contacting me about activities and initiatives of the Archdiocese, or where I have otherwise opted in to receiving communication. The Archdiocese may disclose my personal information to its related entities, contractors and third party service providers for purposes relating to the Course.
16. The Archdiocese’s privacy policy available at https://www.sydneycatholic.org/terms-and-conditions/#privacy provides information about how to access and seek correction of personal information, how to complain about a breach of Australian privacy laws, and how complaints are dealt with.
17. I agree that the laws of New South Wales, Australia govern these Terms and Conditions.
