The Awards are open to those candidates who are studying the RAD syllabi with a Tasmanian Registered RAD teacher.
Candidates are eligible to enter the Award for the level they are entered into for the 2024 Exam sessions.
If a student is sitting two or more Grade examination in the 2024 AEC Examination Session, they are eligible to enter the higher grade only.
The candidates chosen for the finals at each award will then be given the opportunity to perform their preferred syllabus dance from their exam level
Teachers will receive instructions for the selected Syllabus set exercises for each level and the dancers’ own variation.
A Winner and Runner-up for each Grade will be awarded
All candidates must be on stage for the presentation of the Awards at the end of the morning Graded session.
Students must be in uniform as per below. Those who do not comply may be disqualified from the event.
The adjudicators’ decision is final and no communication regarding their decision will be entered into.
Some physical contact may be necessary by a member of the faculty to demonstrate exercises during classes or if a member of the staff needs to administer first aid.
The Academy reserves the right to alter the advertised program/faculty/venue/method of delivery without prior notice. The information in this and other printed or electronic brochures/notices was correct at the time of print.
NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR FILMING PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
There may be a photographer taking photos and file footage during the event. These photos/footage may be used for archival purposes/marketing future RAD events/publicity and are not for external use or sale.
Parents/guardians/friends/family members/teachers of candidates are not permitted in back of house/backstage/warm-up areas unless given specific direction from an RAD staff member/volunteer to enter that area (due to safeguarding requirements).People who are found to have entered restricted areas or refuse a request to leave these areas by an RAD staff member/volunteer risk their candidate being disqualified from the Awards.
Late entries may be accepted if space is available. Entry fee is non-refundable unless the RAD is forced to cancel the event completely. No telephone entries permitted. Entries will close on the 7th October 2024.
Entries after this date can be accepted if space is available and will incur a $20 late fee.
