In My Own Kitchen – Cooking Class Terms and Conditions

By booking a class with In My Own Kitchen, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making your booking.

1. General Class Information
Our cooking classes are designed to be fun, educational, and safe. However, participants should be aware that there are inherent risks involved in any cooking activity, including the use of sharp tools, hot surfaces, and various food products.

All participants must follow the instructor’s safety instructions at all times during the class to minimise risks.

2. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
Participants are responsible for informing In My Own Kitchen of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate these needs but cannot guarantee that classes will be free from allergens, including (but not limited to) gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts, or shellfish.
We do not assume liability for any allergic reactions that may occur during or after the class due to allergens present in the ingredients used or in the kitchen environment.

3. Health & Safety
All participants must adhere to proper hygiene and food safety practices during the class, including washing hands and handling food correctly.

In My Own Kitchen is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or illnesses that may occur during or as a result of participation in our cooking classes. By booking a class, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
In the event of an accident, participants agree to assume full responsibility for any injury or harm they may sustain and agree to release In My Own Kitchen from any liability.

4. Participation Waiver
By participating in our cooking classes, you (or your child) voluntarily assume all risks related to cooking, including the use of sharp knives, hot appliances, and the potential for cuts, burns, or food-related injuries. In My Own Kitchen shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may result from your participation in the class.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made more than 4 business days before the class date will receive a full refund or credit toward a future class.
Cancellations made within 2 business days of the class date are non-refundable, but spots may be transferred to another participant at no additional cost.
In the unlikely event that In My Own Kitchen needs to cancel a class, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

6. Photography & Media
During the class, we may take photos or videos for marketing and promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of these images by In My Own Kitchen. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform us prior to the class. Images taken will not be of the participants faces or indentifying features. Common images are the food items being cooked or hands preparing food items. No images of participants will be taken without express permission from the parent/guardian of the participant.

7. COVID-19 & Hygiene Protocols
All participants are expected to comply with any health and safety measures in place at the time of the class, including COVID-19 protocols. If a participant feels unwell or exhibits symptoms, we ask that they do not attend the class and notify us as soon as possible.

TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (Australian Business Number 71126987915).
