Performance Extension Program dancers will be expected to:

1. Demonstrate 100% effort, commitment, participation and full engagement in all classes, rehearsals, performances and Kew School of Dance activities
2. Attend 100% of Performance Extension Program classes unless sick or injured (attending parties is not a suitable reason for absence)
3. Maintain and develop dance technique and artistry through participation in class and rehearsal
4. Be fully prepared for each and every class, rehearsal and performance
5. Communicate effectively with us in relation to injury, illness or absences
6. Behave in a manner appropriate to a group learning environment
7. Show respect to all members of the class and staff, including:
- Listening carefully in rehearsals
- Applying feedback given in relation to dance technique and choreography
- Remembering changes to choreography
- Responding to all instructions quickly
- Not talking during rehearsals
8. Demonstrate at all times the efforts and attitudes necessary to be a positive role model for the younger students at Kew School of Dance
9. Work together as part of a production/performance team
10. Attend additional rehearsals and events as required (we will give as much notice as possible of additional times required)
11. Students must maintain regular attendance in their weekly dance classes
12. You consent to photographs and video footage being taken of You and/or Your child performing during classes or events, including but not limited to rehearsals, class, dance assessments and concerts. These images may be used by Us for the purpose of promotional material, including use on social media, teaching and other purpose as We deem fit. You agree that any intellectual property rights and/or moral rights in respect of such footage vest solely in Us and otherwise consent to the assignment of such rights to us.


I hereby declare that:

(i) understand that places in the Performance Extension Program (PEP) will be offered at the discretion of Kew School of Dance.

(ii) agree that if I accept a place within the Performance Extension Program, I will ensure that I meet the minimum attendance, behaviour and technique requirements as listed above.

(iii) understand that this is a commitment up until and including the 2024 Concert Performance and includes rehearsals and performances as nominated by Kew School of Dance, in addition to the weekly class. Kew School of Dance will provide as much notice as possible for any additional rehearsals.

(iv) understand that should I fail to meet these requirements, in the sole opinion of the teaching staff of Kew School of Dance, my place within the program may be terminated.
