Terms & Conditions -  St John Ambulance Victoria (Primary Program)

Program requirements :

- Students are to wear clothes suitable for floor activities. e.g.- Long pants or shorts.
- Bring along a pencil and marker for your child
- Parents/carers to offer a helping hand during the sessions, as you will be our link between the children and the Community Education Officers.
- Parent/carers are to be present at all times during the First Aid Sessions as they are responsible for their child's behaviour during this time.


Ticket purchases:
Unless otherwise stated, only ticket holders may participate in the program.

Only children participating in the program can be in attendance. If the parent/carer needs to be with the other child/ren then they will need to nominate an adult supervisor for the child/ren attending and let the organiser know before the program.



Refunds and cancellations: 
We try to be as accommodating as possible, if we have plenty of notice (eg, 2 weeks' notice or more) - we can cancel and refund without an issue. Less than two weeks' notice, we can run the risk of not meeting the required number of participants to run the session and losing payments already made for the room hire. 

Therefore, refunds may not always be possible within two weeks of the incursion. However, if there is someone on the waiting list who can take your place, a refund can be provided. Otherwise, you are most welcome to send someone else in your place. Just let us know in advance so this can be arranged.

HEN also reserves the right to cancel an excursion that does not meet the minimum required number of participants to run. If this occurs, all ticket holders will be contacted and refunded. 

Cancelllations or changes to bookings should be done by emailing through to excursions@home-ed.vic.edu.au.



Parents and siblings in attendance:
To ensure the quality and integrity of your program and to minimise distractions during the program, parents/carers will be asked to be seated in a designated area that is in view of their child/ren.

You will need to indicate to the educator if your child/ren needs any additional assistance.


Mobile Phones:
Please take phone calls or discussion outside the room and limit calls to emergency calls only/keep phone on vibrate mode.


Photos:
If your child/ren are participating in the program, please ensure you request permission to take photos of people on the program beforehand.


Interest in future programs:
St John Ambulance Victoria has offered homeschool programs to the homeschooling community and requested we facilitate queries through Home Education Network (HEN) as a central point of contact. We ask that you kindly direct all queries regarding interest in future programs to the relevant volunteer and not to the educator on the day. This will ensure the children receive maximum time with the educator.


The guidelines are provided to help ensure a good time is had by all participants. The behaviour of your children reflects on home education community.
