Under the Information Privacy Act 2009, Moranbah and District Support Services (MDSS) is required to obtain from you, permission to: collect, use, and disclose your personal information.
MDSS uses photographs and video footage and caption details (Names, ages, etc.) to showcase the Moranbah region, people, places and events in the media and for marketing and promotional purposes. All images taken are used in an ethical manner and in the best interests of the community. Today, as part of our promotion around activities, we have/or would like to take your photograph and video footage.
MDSS seeks permission to take your photograph and video footage of you and use it for media, promotional and/or advertising purposes.
This may include, but is not limited to display on commercial television network, social media, MDSS’s website, in the local regional and national media sources (newspapers, radio and television) and/or marketing material (banner, brochures).

Section 33 under the Act requires us to get your permission for transfer of your personal information outside of Australia. This largely relates to your information being produced on our website and people from outside of Australia being able to access the information.
If you provide permission, your image will remain the property of Moranbah and District Support Services. In the case where you name is required for promotional purposes, we will release this information to third parties only for the purposes outlined above. However, your address and contact details will remain confidential. Should we have requests for this information, a representative from MDSS will contact you to obtain permission.

TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.
