Terms & Conditions for Workshop Bookings

1. Booking & Payment
-Full payment is required to secure a spot in the workshop.
- Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Payment is non-refundable except as outlined in the cancellation policy.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
By the participant:
- Cancellations made more than 2 weeks before the workshop may be eligible for a partial refund or full credit towards a future workshop.
- Certain costs (e.g., venue hire, materials purchased, admin fees) are non-refundable. If the participant cannot attend the rescheduled workshop and does not transfer their booking, a partial refund (minus these costs) may be considered at our discretion.
- No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than 5 days before the workshop.
- If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person—please notify us in advance.

By The Art of Dressmaking:
- If the workshop is canceled due to low enrolment, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered a full refund or credit toward another workshop.
- If the workshop is postponed due to weather or other uncontrollable events, participants will be transferred to the new date or given credit for a future workshop.

3. Minimum Attendance Requirement
- If the rescheduled workshop does not meet the minimum number of participants, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule again. In this case, all participants will be given a credit toward a future workshop.

4. Workshop Attendance & Conduct
- Participants are expected to arrive on time, and in most cases are able to arrive a little earlier to set up their machine and belongings. If you arrive late, we may not be able to repeat instructions, and no refunds or credits will be given.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the workshop without a refund.

5. Liability & Safety
- Participants acknowledge that they are using sewing tools and equipment at their own risk.
- The organiser is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damage to personal belongings during the workshop.
- If a participant damages workshop equipment due to negligence, they may be liable for replacement costs.

6. Materials & Supplies
- Workshop fees may include materials, or participants may be required to bring their own supplies—this will be clearly stated in the workshop description.
- If participants do not bring required materials, we are not responsible for delays or an incomplete project.

7. Intellectual Property
- With the exception of the use of commercial patterns, all patterns, instructions, or materials provided during the workshop are for personal use only and may not be copied, shared, or used for commercial purposes.

8. Photography & Marketing
- Photos and/or videos may be taken during the workshop for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know in advance.
