By participating in the Horses4Heroes Equine Healing Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Program Overview
• The Horses4Heroes Equine Healing Program is a four-day, ground-based equine program designed to assist current serving defence members and veterans in managing trauma, anxiety, and social barriers.
• The program promotes self-examination, mindfulness, grounding, and mental wellness in a safe, supportive environment.
• This program is non-riding and ground-based, focusing on building trust, connection, and emotional regulation through structured equine interaction.

2. Participant Acknowledgement
• Participants understand and acknowledge that equine activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to, the risk of injury, accident, or unpredictable behaviour from horses.
• Participants are required to follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by the program facilitators at all times.

3. Health and Medical Disclosure
• Participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, physical or psychological limitations, or disabilities that may impact their ability to safely engage in the program.
• The program is inclusive and designed to accommodate all abilities, but facilitators reserve the right to assess fitness for participation on a case-by-case basis for safety.

4. Liability Waiver
• By attending, participants agree to release and indemnify Horses4Heroes, its staff, volunteers, facilitators, landowners, and partnering organisations from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands arising from participation in the program, including personal injury, loss, or damage to property.
• This waiver extends to any travel to and from the program location.

5. Insurance and Medical Coverage
• Participants acknowledge that Horses4Heroes does not provide personal accident insurance and that participants should seek independent advice if additional coverage is desired.
• In the case of a medical emergency, participants authorise program staff to seek appropriate medical attention. Any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the participant.

6. Conduct and Consent
• Participants agree to engage respectfully and cooperatively with program facilitators, fellow participants, and animals.
• Photos and testimonials may be used for promotional or reporting purposes unless the participant opts out in writing.

7. Booking, Participation, and Funding
• Booking and participation dates are subject to funding, organiser availability, and DVA processing outcomes.
• Changes to dates or availability may occur at short notice based on funding constraints or administrative requirements.
• The program is fully funded for eligible serving ADF members through a designated funding pathway.
• Please contact the event organiser for information on eligibility and how to access funding support.
