By purchasing a ticket to this event, you acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions contained herein. Should you not wish to accept the Terms & Conditions you should not purchase a ticket.
Costs and payment
Prices are quoted in AUD.
Prices include a non-refundable $20 administration fee.
Cancellation policy
Knowledge Society reserves the right to defer or cancel the event should minimum numbers not be met. Where Knowledge Society cancels due to insufficient numbers:
tickets will be refunded through the ticket portal
the administration fee is refundable
any booking fees or charges charged by Try Booking are subject to their terms and conditions and may not be refundable
Requests to cancel a registration must be received in writing via email to events@knowledgesociety.com.au as soon as practical.
Cancellations received in writing will be eligible for a refund of the event ticket price (minus the administration fee) as listed below:
Cancellations 7 days or more in advance of event date: full refund of the event ticket price paid (minus the administration fee)
Cancellations less than 7 days prior to event date: 50% refund of the event ticket price paid (minus the administration fee).
Substitution or transfer of a participant is possible by negotiation with Knowledge Society.
Please note that if you do not request to cancel in writing and do not attend the event you will be subject to the entire event ticket price. No refund requests will be considered on or after the event date.
Changes to schedule
Knowledge Society reserves the right to change the event agenda and activities at their own discretion and/or when required by circumstances such as weather, illness, availability of venue or presenters etc. We will make every effort to provide a substitution in kind where possible.
Usage of photographic and video material taken at Knowledge Society events
A participant is permitted to use smart phones to take photographs and capture digital images for personal, non-commercial use, provided the photography is not disruptive.
Photographs may not be published, sold, reproduced, transmitted, distributed for commercial purposes.
Knowledge Society may hire professional service providers (photo/ video/ streaming/ audio) to document the event experience.
Knowledge Society may also use social media (e.g. LinkedIn) to post real-time photos and videos to its social media feeds.
Participants are encouraged to capture their event experiences and post their own social content from the event (text, photos, audio, video), provided it does not infringe upon the rights of any participant, speaker, or Knowledge Society. Such infringement would include, but is not limited to, defamation or infringement of intellectual property rights.
In the event a participant requires a release or permission to protect the rights of a third party, obtaining such a release or permission shall be the sole responsibility of the participant.
By attending the event, you acknowledge and agree as follows:
Knowledge Society may edit and use footage it captures at the event for marketing and promotional activities and for any other lawful purpose in the ordinary course of its business; and
due to the prevalence of mobile recording devices in today’s world, Knowledge Society disclaims all liability for the capture of your image in any multimedia format by other participants at the event.
Responsibility disclaimer
Participation is acknowledgement that the organisers and associated contractors disclaim liability for any financial or other loss, damage, accident or injury to property or persons, change to schedules, speakers or topics or other irregularities caused or arising from circumstances beyond their control including industrial disputes.
General
Knowledge Society reserves the right to change, amend, add or remove any of the above Terms & Conditions in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply. These Terms & Conditions apply to all event participants.
The views expressed by any event participant or speaker are not necessarily those of Knowledge Society. Individuals and speakers are solely responsible for the content of all individual or corporation presentations, marketing collateral, and/or advertising.
TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.
