Conditions of Entry:
General Conditions:
** Strict no high-heel policy **
• MSEC reserves the right to inspect / search bags of all
persons who enter or exit the facility, regardless of size.
This may include the touching of the outside of the bag
and / or seeking assistance of the bag owner to remove
items from the bag.
• Persons gaining unauthorised access to MSEC may be liable for
prosecution.
• Patrons who cause a disturbance, or refuse to comply with requests
made by MSEC staff will be evicted from MSEC.
• Pass-outs will not be issued.
• Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or from MSEC by patrons.
• Smoking on the premises is only permitted in designated smoking
area and not permitted within seating or enclosed areas.
• Customers wishing to bring personal items into MSEC do so at their
own risk. MSEC will not be held responsible for any damages to,
loss or theft of a patron’s personal property.
• Umbrellas and chairs may not be bought into the venue/stadium
areas.
• Bouncing, kicking or throwing balls in the passageway is prohibited.
• Hanging from the court rings is not permitted.
• Unauthorised soliciting and customer surveying is not permitted.
• Customers are not permitted to throw any objects around or within
the MSEC seating areas.
• Patrons acknowledge that MSEC or the event promoter may use a
Patron’s image or likeness as part of any recording of the event.
• You can bring sealed water bottles to MSEC. The following will NOT
be permitted: metal (cutlery etc); alcohol; thermos flasks; hot
food/drink; large coolers/eskies/picnic baskets; or any form of
glass (bottles, containers etc).
• Commercial food (commercial food is any food purchased from
external sources, including recognizable commercial food outlets or
food provided by external caterers) is prohibited at MSEC.
Refusal of Entry:
For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all patrons, MSEC Management
reserves the right to:
• Refuse entry to any persons deemed to be intoxicated and / or
disorderly;
• Refuse entry to any unauthorised persons;
• Refuse entry of items which have the potential to cause injury or
public nuisance (i.e. large flags/ banners, musical instruments,
helium balloons etc).
Patrons Use of Venue at Own Risk:
• Some sporting and other activities are dangerous. Persons
entering and using MSEC and its facilities do so at their
own risk, and are responsible for ensuring the security of
any personal items bought into the venue and all times.
• To the extent permitted by law, the Moreton Bay Regional
Council is not responsible for negligence for;
o Any personal injury or other loss sustained by persons;
or
o Any damage to, loss or theft of any personal items.
Dress Standards:
As a minimum for general admission, patrons must be appropriately
clothed for a public place and must wear shoes. Patrons with bare
feet will not be permitted entry.
Restricted/Prohibited Items:
The following restricted / prohibited items are not permitted at MSEC
• Glass or cans;
• Alcoholic beverages;
• Flares/fireworks;
• Laser pointers;
• Knives or other dangerous weapons;
• Animals, except service dogs whilst accompanying a person with the
purpose of support.
• Cameras and recording devices(for commercial purposes) including
tripods; detachable lenses.
• Helium balloons;
• Oversized banners and flags which are deemed to cause public
nuisance;
• Whistles, hooters and horns, musical instruments;
• Decorations such as; confetti, shredded paper, glitter, rice or sand;
• Foreign substances such as chalk, resin or talcum powder;
• Items determined by MSEC management that may cause damage to
any part of the venue;
• Scooters, rollerskates, skateboards and push bikes in or surrounding
the venue;
• Clothing or otherwise displaying commercial, political or other
offensive signage or logos;
• Eskies;
• Chewing gum;
• Drones, model airplanes or other electronic or motorized flying
devices and must not be used in this Venue without prior
management authorization.
• Prohibited or illegal substances.
• Other items as determined by MSEC management that may cause
injury or public nuisance.
Liquor Licensing:
All persons entering MSEC are advised that:
• They are entering licensed premises;
• Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter;
• Persons in possession of liquor will not be permitted to enter;
• Checking procedures will apply to prevent persons possessing liquor
from entering;
• Intoxicated persons will be removed from the premises;
• It is an offence for minors to purchase and consume liquor;
• It is an offence to purchase liquor for (or supply liquor to) minors;
• Persons supplying liquor to minors will be reported to the Police and
penalties apply under the Liquor Act 2007.
• MSEC supports the responsible service of alcohol.
CCTV Surveillance Systems:
This Venue is fitted with CCTV surveillance systems and persons may
be filmed in any area of the Venue, including upon entry and exit. The
following conditions apply:
• CCTV surveillance will only be used for the purpose of
patron, staff and Venue safety and security, to monitor
behavior where deemed necessary and, where appropriate,
to monitor activities conducted or performed within the
Venue.
• Footage collected will not be accessed, used or disclosed to
any external organisation except where authorised or
required by law or with your consent.
• CCTV surveillance footage will be kept in accordance with the
Public Records Act 2002 which is generally for 30-90 days or
when the last business use is completed.
Cameras and recording equipment:
To ensure patron privacy is maintained, cameras, including
mobile phones with camera interfacing, must not be used
in change rooms, toilets or first aid rooms.
