🎵 Crescendo Music Competition – Terms & Conditions 🎵

1. Eligibility

~ The competition is open to invited teachers and their students.
~ Students will compete based on their current certified grade level for fairness.
~ If a student does not have a certified grade, the piece they will be performing must be submitted for proper category allocation.

2. Registration

~ Entries must be submitted by the published deadline.
~ Late entries may not be accepted due to scheduling constraints.
~ An entry fee ($25) will apply to cover event costs.

3. Performance Guidelines

~ Each student may present one solo piece, within the time limit indicated.
~ The chosen piece must be age and level appropriate.
~ Memorization is encouraged but not mandatory.
~ Accompaniment, if required, must be arranged in advance by the student/parent.
~ All pieces must be approved by the teacher before submission.

4. Judging & Feedback

~ Performances will be evaluated by a panel of experienced adjudicators external to the participating schools.
~ Feedback will focus on technique, expression, accuracy, and stage presence.
~ The judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. Awards & Recognition

~ All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
~ Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.
~ 1st place winners will also receive a gift voucher valued up to $100.
~ Selected winners may be invited to perform in a Showcase Concert.

6. Photography & Media

~ By entering the competition, participants (or their guardians) consent to the use of photos and videos taken during the event for promotional purposes by Crescendo Music.
~ If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please notify us in writing prior to the event.
~ Parents and teachers may only photograph or record their own child/student during the event.

7. Dress Code

~ Participants must wear professional performance attire, such as formal concert black clothing, or dress.

7. Code of Conduct

~ Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and supportively.
~ Any form of disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in disqualification.

8. Cancellations

~ No refunds will be given after the schedule is released due to the high administrative cost to withdraw and refund participants.
~ In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Crescendo Music reserves the right to amend or cancel the event.

9. Arrival & Check-In

~ Participants must arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled performance time.
~ Late arrivals may forfeit their opportunity to perform due to time constraints.
~ Check-in procedures will be communicated closer to the event date.
