**Terms and Conditions for the Corio Bay Dancesport Festival**

**1. General Information**
1.1. The Corio Bay Dancesport Festival (hereafter referred to as "the Competition") is organized by Ballroom Baby Geelong.
1.2. The Competition will be held on Saturday 18th April 2026, at the Norlane ARC, 1-9 Cox Road, Norlane
1.3. By entering the Competition or purchasing a ticket, all participants and spectators agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable rules and regulations.

**2. Eligibility**
2.1. The Competition is open to dancers of all levels and age groups, as specified in the event categories.
2.2. Competitors must be registered in accordance with the Competition's rules and guidelines.
2.3. Any competitor found to have provided false information regarding age, rank, or other eligibility criteria will be disqualified without refund.
2.4. All participants must be in good health and able to perform physical activities required for the Competition.

**3. Registration**
3.1. Registration for the Competition must be completed online via Dancesport Australia.
3.2. The registration deadline is 6th April 2025. Late registrations may be accepted at the discretion of the event organizers but may incur a late fee.

**4. Code of Conduct**
4.1. All participants, coaches, and spectators must maintain respect, courtesy, and good sportsmanship at all times.
4.2. Any form of misconduct, including but not limited to verbal abuse, inappropriate behavior, or unfair practices, will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to exclusion from future events.
4.3. Smoking and drugs are strictly prohibited within the competition venue.

**6. Dance Rules**
6.1. All competitors must follow the official rules of DanceSport Australia.
6.2. Competitors must adhere to the dress code specified by Dancesport Australia.

**7. Health and Safety**
7.1. All participants are responsible for their own health and well-being while attending the Competition.
7.2. In the event of injury or medical emergency, competitors must immediately inform the nearest official.

**8. Photography and Video Recording**
8.1. By entering the Competition, all participants consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded during the event.
8.2. These photos and videos may be used by the organizers for promotional, marketing, or archival purposes without compensation to the participants.
8.3. Spectators and participants may not record or photograph the competition without prior consent from the event organizers.

**9. Cancellation or Changes to the Event**
9.1. The organizers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event in case of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to adverse weather, emergency, or force majeure events.
9.2. In the event of cancellation, competitors will be notified promptly, and registration fees may be refunded, depending on the circumstances.

**10. Liability**
10.1. The organizers, sponsors, or affiliated individuals are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property during the Competition.
10.2. Participants enter the Competition at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they have adequate insurance coverage.

**11. Privacy and Data Protection**
11.1. The personal information provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the event, including registration and communication regarding the event.
11.2. The organizers will not share participants' personal information with third parties, except where necessary for the conduct of the event (e.g., sharing results with official bodies).

**12. Dispute Resolution**
12.1. Any disputes regarding the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions or other aspects of the event will be resolved at the discretion of the event organizers.
12.2. Any disputes between competitors, or between competitors and the event organizers, will be handled in accordance with the applicable governing body’s dispute resolution procedures.

**13. Agreement**
13.1. By registering for the Corio Bay Dancesport Festival, competitors and their representatives acknowledge and agree to all terms and conditions listed herein.
13.2. The organizers reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email or posted on the event website.
