1. Ticket Validity & Entry
Each ticket admits one person and is valid only for the stream or access level specified at purchase.
Entry is only granted upon presentation of a valid ticket (digital or printed) and photo ID.
The organiser reserves the right to deny entry to any person who breaches the festival’s code of conduct or causes harm to other attendees.
2. Ticket Changes, Refunds & Transfers
All refunds or ticket transfers are at the discretion of the organiser.
A non-refundable administration fee of $100 per ticket will apply to any approved changes, including refunds and transfers.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing no later than 14 days before the event start date. No refunds will be considered after this time.
Tickets are non-refundable in cases of change-of-mind, scheduling conflicts, or travel issues not caused by the organiser.
3. Event Cancellation or Rescheduling
If the event is cancelled by the organiser, full refunds (minus booking fees) will be offered.
If the event is rescheduled, tickets will automatically transfer to the new dates. If the new dates are unsuitable, refunds may be requested within 14 days of the announcement.
4. Program & Artist Lineup
All workshops, performances, and artist appearances are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to adjust the schedule, teachers, or format in response to unforeseen circumstances.
5. Code of Conduct & Safety
Rumbia is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all. Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.
Participants must follow instructions from staff, security, and event organisers at all times.
Anyone found to be endangering others or acting inappropriately may be removed from the event without refund.
6. Photography, Video & Media
By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded by the festival’s media team. These materials may be used for promotional or archival purposes.
Personal photography is welcome during social events, but recording full workshops or performances without consent is strictly prohibited.
7. Stream Placement & Applications
All Full Festival Pass holders will be initially placed in the Open Stream.
Attendees may apply to join the Advanced or Professional streams by ticking the appropriate box at checkout and providing additional information as requested.
Placement in Advanced or Professional streams is not guaranteed and is subject to review by the festival team.
In the event that you are not placed in your preferred stream, no refund or partial refund will be given.
Workshop content in the Open Stream is still curated to provide a valuable, high-quality experience for all dancers.
TryBooking is an online system for organisations and community groups that has been designed to look after the entire event ticketing and registration needs.
