VOLUNTEER CONSENT AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I acknowledge that, as a volunteer in 'Keen on Green' (School’s Environmental Program):

-I hold (or will obtain prior to participation) a valid Working with Children Check.
-I will complete the required induction before commencing activities.
-I have the physical capability to participate and understand that the tasks involve practical outdoor work.
-I will take reasonable care for my own health and safety, and agree to follow the school’s instructions and safety guidance during the program.
-Induction for on the day

FACILITIES
Toilets for volunteers are located at Reception. Please only use these facilities and do not enter any staff or student areas.

EMERGENCIES
During an emergency, always follow the instructions of staff or wardens. School staff are trained to manage emergency situations, and your cooperation will help keep everyone safe.
In the event of an emergency and there are no staff immediately available, notify the nearest staff member, School Reception or a member of the Leadership Team.
If it is serious or urgent, dial 000 straight away, then alert school staff.

BOUNDARIES
For safety and supervision reasons, please stay within the designated project/work area.
If you need to leave or move around the campus, please advise a staff member first. This helps to ensure we know where you are in case of an emergency.

SCHOOL OPERATIONS
Normal school activities will continue during the day. Please do not enter classrooms or disrupt the running of the school programs.
Please do not take photos of students unless authorised by the school.

GENERAL SAFETY & CONDUCT
Follow all directions given by school staff during the program.
Report any hazards, injuries or unsafe situations immediately to staff so these can be dealt with via the appropriate channels.
If you feel unwell or are unsure about a task, please speak up, step back, or seek assistance.
