This is an outdoor event. Participants should prepare appropriately by wearing attire suitable for the weather conditions. Sunscreen will be available at the Registration table. The event will proceed regardless of the weather, unless deemed unsafe due to warnings of extreme conditions in the area as advised by the Bureau of Meteorology (e.g. Severe thunderstorms, lightning or damaging winds). In the unlikely event that Bill's Walk 2025 is cancelled due to severe weather, the price of the ticket will be deemed as a 100% donation to the Bill Tingate Brain Cancer Foundation. No refunds will be issued due to a severe weather cancelation.
Participation in this event requires a modest level of fitness to complete the 4km (approx.) loop of the Tan Track. Please note, this event is not a timed race and is self-guided. Participants should walk at their own leisurely pace and take due care on any uneven gravel surfaces. The course is one clockwise lap of the Tan Track starting and finishing at the Bill's Walk 2025 event banner at the Pillars of Wisdom, Domain Gardens.
For their own safety, children should be accompanied by an adult at all times during the event.
Event entry is conditional on the Chief Health Office Directives in place on the date of the event. Ticket holders agree as a condition of entry to check-in via the registration table and comply with any Chief Health Office Directives at the time of the event (if any), and the event organizers' Covid-safe plan for this event (if required).
