1. Introduction
- These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all individuals registering for or attending seminars, workshops, or webinars (“Seminar”) hosted by Bowyer Psychology (“the Clinic”).
- This event, Screen Smart: Supporting Kids with Healthy Tech Use, is delivered online via Microsoft Teams as specified on the event booking page.
- By registering or attending, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
- Participation in the Seminar is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 years and over.
- By registering or attending, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
- Minors (under 18 years old) are not permitted to attend the Seminar in any form, whether online or in-person, under any circumstances.
3. Seminar Details
- Location: Online via Microsoft Teams (access link provided upon registration)
- Date & Time: As specified on the event listing
- Cost: $10 per ticket (non-refundable)
- The Clinic reserves the right to make changes to the format, timing, speakers, or content of the Seminar. Where possible, participants will be notified in advance of any significant changes, including cancellations or rescheduling.
4. Registration and Payment
- All attendees must register and pay in advance to participate.
- Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment via TryBooking.
- A confirmation email and Teams access link will be provided once your booking is complete.
- The link is for personal use only and must not be shared or distributed.
- The Clinic may refuse or cancel any registration that does not comply with these Terms or eligibility requirements.
5. Refunds, Transfers, and Event Changes
- Tickets are non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation by the Clinic.
- If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another adult by emailing enquiries@bowyerpsychology.com.au
at least 24 hours before the event.
- If the event is cancelled or rescheduled by the Clinic, registered participants will be notified and provided with a full refund through TryBooking.
6. Code of Conduct
- By attending the Seminar, participants agree to:
- Conduct themselves respectfully towards staff, presenters, and other attendees.
- Not record, photograph, or share any content from the Seminar without prior written consent from the Clinic.
- Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of discussions or personal experiences shared.
- Follow all guidelines and instructions issued by the Clinic.
- The Clinic reserves the right to remove or deny access to any participant behaving in a disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate manner.
7. Privacy and Data Use
- Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for:
- Administering attendance and ticketing
- Communicating event details and updates
- Providing follow-up resources or feedback opportunities
- Bowyer Psychology is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and relevant Western Australian privacy laws.
- Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties without your consent.
8. Recording and Materials
- To protect participant privacy, the webinar will not be recorded for distribution.
- Presentation slides will not be shared, however a summary handout covering key points will be provided to attendees.
- Attendees may not record, copy, or distribute any part of the event without explicit written consent from the Clinic.
9. Disclaimer
- This Seminar is intended for educational and informational purposes only.
- It does not constitute psychological advice, therapy, or a clinical service.
- Participation does not create a therapeutic or professional relationship between attendees and Bowyer Psychology or any of its staff.
- If you require mental health support, please contact your GP, a registered psychologist, or a crisis service such as Lifeline (13 11 14).
10. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bowyer Psychology will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience arising from attendance or participation in the Seminar, whether online or otherwise.
11. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms or participation in the Seminar will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
