Conditions for Entry

RAD Australia Competitions & Awards Terms and Conditions apply to all Student Activities nationwide. A copy of these can be found on our website. Where these T&Cs conflict with the Individual Event Terms & Conditions (as outlined below), the Individual Event Terms & Conditions apply. All T&Cs are agreed online at the time of booking.

• Candidates must be studying the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Syllabus, be residing in the state in which the Awards will be held and must be enrolled with an RAD Registered teacher in that state at time of entry and at time of the Awards.
• Candidates must be of non-professional status, meaning they are not engaged by a professional company or production on a regular basis as a paid dancer.
• Candidates are eligible to enter the Awards for the exam level they entered and passed in the 2025 Exam session.
• If a student has entered two examinations in the 2025 RAV or AEC Examination Session, they must enter the Awards at the highest level.
• It is the responsibility of the teacher/parent and candidate to enter the correct level. A breach in this regulation could result in disqualification.
• Students must be in uniform as per this flyer. Those who do not comply may be disqualified from the event.
• Students must participate in all relevant aspects of the awards for their entered level to avoid disqualification
• The adjudicators’ decision is final and no communication regarding their decision will be entered into.
• Some physical contact may be necessary by a member of the faculty to demonstrate exercises during classes or if a member of the staff needs to administer first aid.
• The Academy reserves the right to alter the advertised program/faculty/venue/method of delivery without prior notice. The information in this and other printed or electronic brochures/notices was correct at the time of print.
• NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR FILMING PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
• By entering these awards Participants agree that they may appear in photographic images taken during the event that may be used for promotional and/or reporting purposes, unless they inform RAD otherwise.
• Parents/guardians/friends/family members/teachers of candidates are not permitted in back of house/backstage/warm-up areas unless given specific direction from an RAD staff member/volunteer to enter that area (due to safeguarding requirements).People who are found to have entered restricted areas or refuse a request to leave these areas by an RAD staff member/volunteer risk their candidate being disqualified from the Awards.
• The purpose of this event is to offer a valuable experience that rewards, encourages and inspires young students to continue pursuing their passion for dance. Our expectation is that all involved (RAD staff, teachers, volunteers, candidates, and family members) adhere to our Codes of Conduct.
• RAD should be notified in writing of any medical conditions when registering for the Awards. Candidates participate at their own risk.
• RAD Australia follows all current government, public health and COVID-19 requirements - please refer to the Government website in your state for current guidelines and advice.
• Entries are via Trybooking only and close on Friday 20 February at 5.00PM.
• Entry fee is non-refundable including due to change of mind or clashes with other commitments, entries are not transferable, and late entries cannot be accepted.
• A 50% refund is only available if a written request is made and accompanied by a medical certificate prior to 5pm on or before Friday20 February, stating that the candidate can no longer participate.
