Young Engineers Brisbane West – Holiday Workshop & Camp Terms & Conditions
Program Information
1. Young Engineers Brisbane West holiday workshops and camps are designed to provide hands-on STEM learning in a fun, engaging and inclusive environment.
2. Programs are conducted at approved school or community venues, in compliance with Department of Education (Queensland) and venue safety requirements.
3. Program details including times, duration, fees and locations are subject to change. Parents will be notified of any changes in advance.

Enrolment & Payment
4. Enrolments are confirmed once payment has been received and availability has been verified.
5. Full payment is required prior to the commencement of the workshop or camp.
6. Cancellations received more than 7 days before the start date will be refunded in full, minus a $20 administration fee.
7. Cancellations within 7 days of the camp start date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
8. No refunds or credits will be issued for non-attendance or missed days once the camp has commenced.
9. In the unlikely event that Young Engineers Brisbane West cancels a camp due to low enrolment, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, parents will be offered a full refund or credit toward a future program.

Health, Safety & Behaviour
10. All participants must comply with the behaviour expectations set by Young Engineers Brisbane West staff and the hosting venue to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
11. Young Engineers Brisbane West reserves the right to withdraw a student from the program if their behaviour presents a risk to themselves, others, or the program environment. A pro-rata refund may be offered at the discretion of the program coordinator.
12. Parents/guardians are required to disclose any relevant medical, behavioural, or allergy information at the time of enrolment to ensure suitable care and supervision.
13. Students may participate in both indoor and outdoor activities. Parents are responsible for ensuring children attend with a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and lunch/snacks in clearly labelled containers.
14. Young Engineers Brisbane West follows a “No Hat, No Outdoor Play” policy consistent with the Queensland SunSmart guidelines.

Duty of Care & Supervision
15. Supervision is provided only during scheduled workshop/camp hours. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are signed in and collected on time.
16. Late collection fees may apply if children are picked up more than 10 minutes after the scheduled finish time.
17. All staff hold valid Working with Children Checks (Blue Cards) and comply with Department of Education standards and child safety requirements.

Program Changes & Force Majeure
18. In the event of circumstances beyond our control (e.g. severe weather, illness outbreak, venue closure, or government restrictions), Young Engineers Brisbane West reserves the right to cancel or postpone the program.
19. Where possible, parents will be offered a credit for a future program or an alternative date.

General Conditions
20. Enrolment in the program indicates full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
21. Young Engineers Brisbane West reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time, with notice provided to enrolled families.
22. All personal information is collected and used in accordance with privacy legislation and is only used for enrolment, communication, and program purposes.
