Terms and Conditions of Sale – Eltham's Longest Lunch 2026
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) govern the sale and attendance of tickets to Eltham's Longest Lunch (the "Event") held on Sunday, March 22, 2026. By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser and all attendees agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
2. Ticket Sales and Pricing
• Ticket Price: The ticket price is inclusive of a three-course meal and specified complimentary alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, as detailed in the event description.
• All Sales Final: All tickets purchased for the Event are non-refundable.
• Transfers: Tickets are fully transferable. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person. The organiser must be notified of any name changes at least 48 hours prior to the event date by contacting info@elthamtown.com.au.
• Pricing & Fees: The published ticket price may exclude booking fees or credit card processing charges applied by the ticketing platform (e.g., TryBooking).
3. Event Details and Seating
• Date & Time: The Event is scheduled for Sunday, March 22, 2026, commencing at the specified time of 12.00pm and concluding at the specified time 3.00pm.
• Location: The event is held at a long-table setting on Commercial Place.
• Seating: Seating is communal and pre-allocated at the long table. Requests for specific seating arrangements will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.
4. Menu and Dietary Requirements
• Fixed Menu: The Longest Lunch features a fixed, three-course set menu highlighting Mediterranean flavours, prepared by the specified local businesses (Eltham Deli, Missing Gorilla / Zulu’s Kitchen, Old Evropa, Pierross). Menu substitutions outside of documented dietary needs are not permitted.
• Dietary Requirements: Attendees requiring vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free meals, or who have life-threatening allergies (e.g., anaphylaxis) must notify the organiser at the time of booking.
• Deadline: All severe dietary requirements must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026 (9 days prior to the event). The organiser cannot guarantee accommodation for requests received after this deadline.
• Allergy Disclaimer: While the organiser and participating vendors will take all reasonable care to accommodate severe allergies, the Event is held in a communal kitchen environment where allergens (including nuts, dairy, and gluten) are present. The organiser cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free meal.
5. Alcohol Service and Conduct
• RSA Compliance: The service of alcohol is governed by Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) laws.
• ID Required: Attendees must be 18 years of age or older to consume alcohol and may be required to present valid identification.
• Refusal of Service: Event staff and security reserve the right to refuse the service of alcohol or remove any attendee who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour is disruptive, aggressive, or offensive. No refunds will be issued in the event of removal from the premises due to inappropriate behaviour.
• No BYO: No outside food or beverages, including alcohol (BYO), are permitted at the Longest Lunch tables.
6. Event Co-location (Longest Lunch vs. Festival)
• Separation: The Longest Lunch is a private, ticketed dining experience. While it is co-located with the FREE Eltham Town Square Festival, the Longest Lunch ticket grants access only to the designated dining area and includes the specified food and beverage service.
• Festival Activities: Attendees of the Longest Lunch are welcome to enjoy the free Town Square Festival activities (markets, live cooking demonstrations, Kids' Zone) before and after the ticketed dining experience.
7. Cancellation and Postponement
• Weather Policy: The Event is planned as an outdoor experience. In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions (as determined by the organiser), the Event may be relocated to a suitable covered or indoor venue within the Eltham Town area, or postponed/cancelled.
Cancelled by Attendee: If the attendees cancels after 7 days prior to the event they will not be issued a refund. This is due to deposits etc being paid. However you are able to transfer your ticket as long as the event organiser is notified.
• Cancellation by Organiser: If the Event is cancelled by the organiser due to unforeseen circumstances, severe weather, or government restrictions, ticket holders will be offered the choice of a full refund or a transfer of their ticket to a rescheduled date (if applicable).
• Organiser Discretion: The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the menu, entertainment, and layout of the Event without prior notice.
8. Photography and Media
Attendees consent to their image being captured and used in promotional materials (including social media, website, and future event advertising) by the organiser and the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a member of the event staff.
