Finding Silence with St Joseph
The Finding Silence with St Joseph (Event) is a day retreat for men over 18 years of age dedicated to mental prayer and deep encounter with God. It aims to help men deepen their understanding of their masculine identity and connect to their vocation by prayerfully reflecting on St Joseph.
The theme of the Event will focus on St Joseph’s prayer life.
Talks will be delivered by a priest in a prayerful tone with a spiritual focus within the Church. The program will include Mass, Adoration, Retreat Talks, Spiritual Direction and Confession in a spirit and environment of silence.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (Archdiocese) is the organiser of the Event.
The Event takes place on Saturday, 21 March 2026 between 9am to 4pm at St Joseph's Catholic Church Moorebank, 231 Newbridge Rd, Chipping Norton NSW 2170.

Finding Silence with St Joseph Terms and Conditions
Registration and cancellation
1. Registration for the Event will close on 20 March 2026 at 11:59pm.
2. Registration for the Event is through the TryBooking ticketing platform at: https://www.trybooking.com/DHKRV.
3. The registration fee for the Event is $50.00 per person. For clergy, religious or seminarians, the registration fee is $0.
4. An additional fee of up to $2.00 is payable per registration which covers booking and administration fees of the TryBooking ticketing platform (TryBooking Fee). All prices are inclusive of GST.
5. Payment of the total registration fee is required at the time of registration.
6. If I cancel before 14 March 2026, I am entitled to receive a refund of the registration fee less the Trybooking Fee. I am not entitled to a refund for a cancellation made on or after 15 March 2026, or in circumstances where I do not attend the Event. Exceptions for extenuating circumstances will be considered by the Archdiocese on a case-by-case basis.
7. If, for any reason, any part of the Event cannot commence or continue as planned in any respect, the Archdiocese reserves the right to cancel the Event at its discretion.
8. If the Archdiocese cancels the Event under clause 7, I will be entitled to a refund of the total registration fee paid for the cancelled Event, less the TryBooking Fee.
Filming and photographing
9. I am 18 years of age or above.
10. I may be filmed and/or photographed (Footage) when attending the Event.
11. I agree to and permit the Archdiocese and its nominees using the Footage and my name, image, likeness and voice in accordance with this consent.
12. I consent to the Archdiocese and its nominees, without limitation, using, reproducing, exhibiting, editing, adapting, compiling with other works or materials, transmitting, broadcasting, publishing and distributing the Footage in any media at its discretion, for educational, promotional, marketing and other purposes (including commercial purposes) associated with the Event, or the Archdiocese’s events, or consistent with the Archdiocese’s (and broader Catholic community’s) activities and objectives.
13. I acknowledge that the Archdiocese is not obliged to publish or otherwise use the Footage or any part of it.
14. I agree that any form of intellectual property rights in the Footage and all works derived or created under it are owned by the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Sydney on behalf of the Archdiocese, and any intellectual property rights that I may have in the Footage are fully assigned to the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Sydney on behalf of the Archdiocese.
15. To the full extent permitted by law, I consent to the doing of anything in relation to the Footage that (but for the consents provided in this Terms and Conditions document) would otherwise infringe any moral rights or similar non-assignable personal rights that I might otherwise have including but not limited to publishing the Footage without attribution and modifying/ adapting the Footage.
Privacy
16. I acknowledge that the Archdiocese and its nominees collect my personal information for purposes of organising the Event and contacting me about activities and initiatives of the Archdiocese, or where I have otherwise opted in to receiving communication. The Archdiocese may disclose my personal information to its related entities, contractors and third-party service providers for purposes relating to the Event.
17. The Archdiocese’s privacy policy available at https://www.sydneycatholic.org/terms-and-conditions/#privacy provides information about how to access and seek correction of personal information, how to complain about a breach of Australian privacy laws, and how complaints are dealt with.
18. I agree that the laws of New South Wales, Australia govern these Terms and Conditions.
