Terms & Conditions – Yamane-Ryū Kobudo Melbourne Seminar
1. Ticket Types & Eligibility
• Adult and Junior tickets must be purchased according to the participant’s age category.
• Discounted tickets (IRKRS, Shitō-Ryū Shukokai Karate-Dō, AFTK) are only valid for members of those organisations. Proof of membership may be requested at check-in.
• Tickets are non-transferable without prior approval from the event organiser.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
• Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the event will receive a full refund (less TryBooking fees).
• Cancellations made 7–14 days prior are eligible for a 50% refund.
• Cancellations within 7 days of the event are non-refundable unless exceptional circumstances apply.
• If the event is cancelled by the organiser, all participants will receive a full refund (excluding booking fees set by TryBooking).
3. Safety & Participation Requirements
• Participants must follow all instructions given by seminar instructors and event staff.
• Yamane-Ryū Kobudo is a traditional weapons art; safe behaviour is mandatory at all times.
• The organiser reserves the right to remove any participant who behaves in a manner that is dangerous, disruptive, or disrespectful.
• Participants train at their own risk. Martial arts involve physical activity, and attendees are responsible for disclosing any injuries or limitations.
• Juniors must be supervised by event staff and may only train in age-appropriate sessions.
4. Personal Liability & Insurance
• By attending, participants acknowledge the inherent risks of martial arts training and agree not to hold the organisers, instructors, or venue liable for injuries arising from normal training activity.
• Participants are encouraged to ensure they have appropriate personal accident or martial arts insurance.
5. Photography & Media
• Photos and videos may be taken during the seminar for promotional and archival purposes.
• By attending, you consent to the use of images of you or your child unless you notify the organiser in writing before the event.
6. Event Changes
• The organiser reserves the right to adjust the schedule, instructors, or program flow if required due to unforeseen circumstances.
7. Code of Conduct
• Respect for instructors, fellow participants, and the dojo environment is mandatory.
• Aggressive behaviour, unsafe conduct, or disrespect will result in removal from the seminar with no refund.
