2/Risk Statement

You are also advised that by participating in this Event you agree and acknowledge that sailing is a potentially dangerous activity with inherent risks. These risks include strong winds and rough seas, sudden changes in weather, failure of equipment, boat handling errors, poor seamanship by other boats, loss of balance on an unstable platform and fatigue resulting in increased risk of injury. Inherent in the sport of sailing is risk of permanent, catastrophic injury or death by drowning, trauma, hypothermia or other causes.

3/Risk Statement

The Organising Authority (ILCAWA & FSC) , their officers, members, staff, volunteers and agents accept no responsibility in respect of loss of life, personal injury or loss or damage of property which may be sustained by reason of their participation or intended participation in this Event howsoever arising in connection with the Event.

4/Insurance

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party-liability insurance with a minimum cover of $10,000,000 per incident or equivalent. It is also recommended that the vessels shall be insured with comprehensive cover for racing.

5/Club Affiliation

All participants shall be members of a club affiliated with Australian Sailing or World Sailing MNA.
